Main Production Areas: Gorgan and Gonbad, Provinces of Tehran, Khorasan, Ghazvin & Dasht, Mazandaran and Azarbaijan.

A: Iranian Local Varieties: Anjiri, Haj Kazemi, Red Oroumiyeh
B: Foreign Varieties: G. H. Hill, Alberta, South Hoven, Red Hoven Annual Exports: 500 tns.
Nutritional Values: Ripe peach is rich in sugar’ (mostly saccharose) and, depending on its variety, the sugar content varies from 6.8 to 9.5%. Peaches have high contents of vitamins A, B, B2 and C. Its minerals are mostly potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, sulphurous and iron. The energy value of this fruit amounts to 50 calories per 100gr.
Forms of Consumption: Fresh, dried, jam.
Industrial & Medicinal Uses: Flowers, leaves and its kernel oil are used in cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries.
