Annual Production: 1,970,000 tns.

Main Production Areas: Khorasan, Hamedan, Zanjan, Fars, West Azarbaijan, Central and Ghazvin provinces.

Main Varieties: Bidaneh Sefid (white Seedless), Bidaneh Ghermez (Red Seedless), Asgari, Yaghouti (Red Ruby), Shahroudi, Shahani, Hosseini, Khalili, Peykani and Sorkh Fakhri.

Annual Exports: 85,000 tns of fresh grapes & 90,000 tns of raisins. Nutritional Values: It is rich in vitamins B and C, minerals like potassium, calcium, phosphorus and iron) Minerals contents are several times higher in raisins. The level of potassium, which is 25 mg in fresh grapes raises to 708 mg in raisins and the level of phosphorus increases from 2 I mg in grapes to 129 mg in rasins.

Forms of Consumption: Fresh fruit, raisins, fruit juice, vinegar, concentrated extracts.

Industrial & Medicinal Uses: Vine cropping and its leaves are used for producing pharmaceutical materials and the fruit is used in alcohol industries.
