Mazandaran, Gorgan, Fars, Gilan, Central, Semnan, Isfahan, Zanjan, Kerman and Kermanshah provinces.

Main varieties: Zard Piazi (Onion.yellow),

Zard Douki, Siah (Kuuhi) Estahahn, Izmirka, and Manjighi.

Annual Exports: 2740 tons.

Nutritional Values: Fresh and dried figs are rich in vitamins B1, B2 and C, minerals like phosphorus, iron sodium, potassium, different kinds of sugar, protein, fat and fibers.

Forms of Consumption: Fresh and dried fruits, syrup, fruit concentrates, and also used in making chocolate and biscuits.

Industrial & Medicinal Uses : used for producing cough and sour throat syrups.
